Lotteryist Week 47

There are six parking places in front of my PLC. Today all six were filled with black cars. If it had been six white vehicles I would not have been surprised. White is the Color For Cars this year. I see white cars, van and pickup trucks everywhere. Just like the old song – Here a white car, there a white van, everywhere a white truck. But a line of black cars? That was weird. Then, to add to the surprise, I didn’t see any drivers get into the cars, but one at a time in perfect rhythm they just pulled out left. First car – back out, turn right, leave, count one two three, second car – back out, turn right, leave, count one two three, third car – back out, turn right, leave, count one two three until all six were gone. It was like a precision driving parade or police responding to a call. As they passed me I recognized all the drivers – remember I live in a very small town – so I know it wasn’t either of those things. It was just weird.

And weird was nice today, because today had been a rather boring Saturday. Everything went as it should. I accomplished all my chores and task early and easily. By early afternoon I was finished with my to-do list. Lotterying was the last thing of the day and it was nice to have a tiny bit of weird involved with it.

I doubt I will have the weirdness of winning anything. Alas.

I told the clerk I was there to buy my weekly losing ticket and she told me to stop thinking that way. This clerk always says that to me. I think she is really into sending good vibes into the universe. She can send good vibes for me. I am happy for anyone and everyone to send good vibes out for me.

To be honest, while I would be envious, I would be happy for good vibes for almost anyone. While I may deserve winning as much as anyone, I haven’t earned the right to win.

It would be weird if I won. Fun but weird – like a line of black cars putting on a parade just for me.
