Sooo, a new clerk is working at Lottery Central. She didn’t have a clue how to punch in my numbers. I cannot tell you how relieved I am that there is someone else as ignorant as I am about lotterying. It took several tries and several instructions from a very patient manager to get the job done. Alas, all for naught – not a winner again this week. But hope springs eternal – there’s always next week.
And of course, the eternal question – just where is all this lottery income going? It is suppose to go to common education, and yet we hear so much about not having enough money reaching the classroom level. If the whole lottery enterprise is about the classroom, would my $3.00 each week be better used buying a ream of paper, or a Dr. Suess book? Just a thought.
